The Hype:

Super suitable kicks and a sweet sonic bounce are just some of the sounds you’ll hear from these 23 brand new tracks of this 2013 edition of After Hours Miami! Italian House star Gary Caos‘ pumpin tribal tune Woman get the bass rolling and Redondo‘s “Say It To Me” maintains a cool deep vibe suitable for a warm-up set or after hour. New Jersey house representative Cevin Fisher‘s “House Music” got remixed by Supernova and the result is nothing short of a floor-filler. Next up is Emeskay‘s “Beggin,” whose latin percussive elements and shoutin’ vocal samples blend together nicely over a phat groove. Amnesia, Rocho & Lenny vs Nimphidia show a tight collaboration on “The Life I Chose,” with its tricky beats and sweet vocal, it’s yet another potential floor-filler in this collection. To round it all off, sensational EU producers Crazibiza drop another King Street bomb on the mighty “I Can’t Wait” joint effort between Japanese producer Namy & the Queen of House herself, Barbara Tucker. Demarkus Lewis‘ deeper than deep track “Deeper Than Thou.” Conga Squad is up next with “It’s All Yours,” shining the floor with its neodisco-style groove. John Demark & Antoine Cortez “Fabulous Disco”‘s massive drilling baseline is so tremendous, it could be mentally disastrous for the unprepared. Dee Marcus‘ addictive blood pumper, “Cutoff” truly rocks your dance mind and Mr. Kavalicious “Deception” is a deep minimal track that simply cools you down nicely. Fashionable disco-ish deep house Stefan Kaye‘s “Liaison” adds a bit of urban lava. Nicko Vee‘s “Rise” sweeps the heat with its melancholic moody melody and his signature fat groove. Including several more such as James Silk‘s “Juice Box”, Fabian Argomedo‘s “Jet” with a high energy remix by DJ Deka. Marlon D Remix of “NY Dream” by Deep Character & Mad Boss feat. Big Daddy. The sexy vocal track by “Night Lover” by Eppu feat. Sexy Sound Ladies with Deepdisco Remix. Followed by Sean McCabe‘s Remix of “Love Like This by Ananda Project and Reelsoul remix of “How Much I Love You” by Kimara Lovelace. Also is the smooth spoken word of Urban Soul‘s “My Urban Soul” with the Black Sonix Remix. Included as a bonus are 2 continuous mixes by NYC based DJ and King Street‘s very own NoonStar that is sure to keep the party going until sunrise. A truly great compilation of  thumping tunes suitable for a variety of roaming rhythms throughout the night.

The Hype: Digging deep deep in the King St crates once again comes one of the very first songs that put this artist on the road to becoming one of the most well known and respected in House Music. DJ Roland Clark continues to be a force of soulful nature after having achieved a #1 Billboard Club hit back in the day with “Show Me” and one of the biggest underground hits, “Flowers” and “I Get Deep,” whose vocal is STILL being played today in the guise of it’s many bootlegs. From his soulfully sung pieces, grounding him as a versatile artist and putting him up there with some of the best R&B counterparts, to his thunderous spoken word, be they preachy or sassy, DJ Roland Clark has played ball with the best. Here we pay homage to him once again with “Until We Meet Again,” originally remixed by legendary Matthias Heillbronn & Mike Delgado, aka Deep Zone when it was originally released back in ’96, now sees revival remixes by UK soulful heavyweight Sean McCabe and a more ramped up remix by Italo-electronic outfit the Dollscombers. Pure House flavor in ya ear, ya’ll.

The Hype: What do legendary dj/producers Roger Sanchez, Kerri Chandler & Jon Cutler have in common with talented UK producer Sean MaCabe? All have done remixes on one of the most well-known classic tunes in the King St catalog. Kerri launched this tune in 1995 with Roger S mixes and then a decade later Jon Cutler brought it out of the depths with his amazing production style. Now another 7 years later and Sean McCabe, who’s long-been inspired by Kerri Chandler, adds his skillful touch & makes Carolyn Harding sound as good as the first day this was recorded.

A Wonderful Place (Sean McCabe Remix)Release Date: 1/30/12
Label: King Street Sounds
Cat #: KSS 1358

The Hype: Another group of hot soulful remixes, stemming from the Blaze presents Underground Dance Artists United for Life “Keep Hope Alive” album comes out on King Street. This batch reinterprets Blaze feat. Ultra Naté, “Wonderful Place” putting some extra spring in the step. UK DJ/Producers Bobby & Steve hit us with a lovely rendition reminiscent of a classic percussive soulful MAW mix that’s sure to please. Our very own Tomo gives us a deep synthy laid back dubby feel with slight vocal injections for added flavor. On the flip, the Fanatix, Britain’s Aaron Ross from BBC 1Xtra and uber-producer Neil Pierce, keep us movin’ with an all out digital melodic interpretation, on their Main Mix minus some of Ultra’s vocals on the dub. What a Wonderful Place indeed.
