The Hype:

When you think of prolific producers to come out of San Francisco and the Bay Area, names like Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, Jay-J, Fred Everything come to mind. There’s one more that should be added to that list, namely DJ/Producer, Julius Papp. From his very first gig in 1987 to touring with Migs at the famed Salted parties, to countless releases on many labels including King Street and his own NeoDisco imprint, he now returns to us on this fourth installment of A Long Hot Summer. With the first being compiled and mixed by Balaeric producer Kiko Navarro and subsequent yearly comps by Chris Brann (Ananda Project, Wamdue Project, P’Taah) and Brazilian DJ Meme, Julius Papp comes on to seamlessly blend twenty of the most beautiful tunes in the catalog to create a lush and sensuously rhythmic journey for the long hot days ahead. Tunes like Frankie Feliciano presents Real Thing, “Stalker Track,” Dennis Ferrer feat. Bola BeloDem People Go!” (Kruse & Nuernberg Remix), From P60 with Lisa ShawMagic”(Jarred Gallo Remix), Chieko Kinbara feat. Josh MilanJust Like Love” (Charles Webster Main Remix) and “Higher Love” (Souldynamic Vocal Dub), Kerri ChandlerHallelujah” (Robosonic Remix), Tuccillo & Kiko Navarro feat. AmorLovery” (Yoruba Soul Mix), Ananda Project feat. AKHeaven Is Right Here” (Danny Krivit & Dazzle Drums Mix) and his own cuts, “Groove Asylum,” “Round In My Mind,” “Your Life 2013” and others will help get your summer groove on. As quoted in Resident Advisor Julius states, “When I DJ, I like to go on a ride. I don’t like to stay in one groove for too long. I like to be eclectic in my musical selection, incorporating various styles.” With this eclectic culmination in mind, he developed a smoother edge, a deep soulful style of House that continues to define the San Francisco sound.”… and he does that oh so well on this stunning new comp.

Dubtribe frontman Sunshine Jones‘ recent Belle Ame Electronique was met with open arms by fans, yoga instructors and press alike. “Blissfully sublime and elevating, this release cannot be done justice with words. You NEED to experience [this album] with your own ears and open mind and heart. Let it take you higher lovers …” said! With so much love in the house and coming from a bonafide House label, we’d be remiss if we didn’t release a collection of remixes from this veritable musical celebration devoted to sensual aural enjoyment. Ten tunes remixed by well known as well as up & coming Deep House & Tech House producers from UK, Europe and Latin America see their work released on one solid collection. EU’s Kruse & Nuernberg give up a bouncing deep version of “I Got Your Back,” Rancido‘s Soul Odyssey dope Remix of “Four Million Miles,” Sascha Dive‘s Sun Worshipper Remix of “Warm Sun On My Face,” Nicko Vee‘s pumpy Remix of “Come To Me,” the minimal haunting Andreas Saag Remix of “While You Were Sleeping” and more. Mexico is in the house with Balcazar & Sordo‘s funky deep disco remix of “We Are What We Are,” and the 2 continents collide as Louie Fresco and Aki Bergen / Daniel Jaze both give us a couple of diverse yet stunning renditions of “Dirty Love.” Seeing so many talented producers under one musical roof remix one heck of an artist breathes new life into his album and makes for some heart-stirring dance music.

The Hype:

Super suitable kicks and a sweet sonic bounce are just some of the sounds you’ll hear from these 23 brand new tracks of this 2013 edition of After Hours Miami! Italian House star Gary Caos‘ pumpin tribal tune Woman get the bass rolling and Redondo‘s “Say It To Me” maintains a cool deep vibe suitable for a warm-up set or after hour. New Jersey house representative Cevin Fisher‘s “House Music” got remixed by Supernova and the result is nothing short of a floor-filler. Next up is Emeskay‘s “Beggin,” whose latin percussive elements and shoutin’ vocal samples blend together nicely over a phat groove. Amnesia, Rocho & Lenny vs Nimphidia show a tight collaboration on “The Life I Chose,” with its tricky beats and sweet vocal, it’s yet another potential floor-filler in this collection. To round it all off, sensational EU producers Crazibiza drop another King Street bomb on the mighty “I Can’t Wait” joint effort between Japanese producer Namy & the Queen of House herself, Barbara Tucker. Demarkus Lewis‘ deeper than deep track “Deeper Than Thou.” Conga Squad is up next with “It’s All Yours,” shining the floor with its neodisco-style groove. John Demark & Antoine Cortez “Fabulous Disco”‘s massive drilling baseline is so tremendous, it could be mentally disastrous for the unprepared. Dee Marcus‘ addictive blood pumper, “Cutoff” truly rocks your dance mind and Mr. Kavalicious “Deception” is a deep minimal track that simply cools you down nicely. Fashionable disco-ish deep house Stefan Kaye‘s “Liaison” adds a bit of urban lava. Nicko Vee‘s “Rise” sweeps the heat with its melancholic moody melody and his signature fat groove. Including several more such as James Silk‘s “Juice Box”, Fabian Argomedo‘s “Jet” with a high energy remix by DJ Deka. Marlon D Remix of “NY Dream” by Deep Character & Mad Boss feat. Big Daddy. The sexy vocal track by “Night Lover” by Eppu feat. Sexy Sound Ladies with Deepdisco Remix. Followed by Sean McCabe‘s Remix of “Love Like This by Ananda Project and Reelsoul remix of “How Much I Love You” by Kimara Lovelace. Also is the smooth spoken word of Urban Soul‘s “My Urban Soul” with the Black Sonix Remix. Included as a bonus are 2 continuous mixes by NYC based DJ and King Street‘s very own NoonStar that is sure to keep the party going until sunrise. A truly great compilation of  thumping tunes suitable for a variety of roaming rhythms throughout the night.

The Hype:

The Deep. The Tech. The Deep In Tech. These are the sounds we love and

love to share with you. This second volume in the series has 27 of the

most varied remixes, some of which had been leaked out on the samplers.

Be they coming from lands far & wide or taken from catalog classic or

brand new & unreleased, they’re all here and are sure to give good

groove. Australian producers Shades of Gray kick off the comp with a

vibey loop track “Up All Night” and goes into the more heady & spacey

“Mister K” by french producer Didier Largemain & Moodymanc‘s Dub of

Tomoki Tamura “The Rough.” The comp dips into bigger energy tunes like

Mihalis Safras‘ “Moon Spread,” and revisit some familiar classic

territory with Kerri Chandler‘s awesome “So Let the Wind Come,” Quentin Harris‘ “Slow Velocity,” jOHNNYDANGEROUs‘ “Mr.V’s Revenge” (K&N Dub), Dennis Ferrer‘s “P 2 Da J” (Tiger Stripes Remix) and Echologist‘s “Strut.” The comp taps into a few other styles like the funky “Shroom Day” and the Latin-esque “Universal Chant” by Dutch producer Rancido & cucumber cool “Any Day” instrumental by Italian star producer Ivan Iacobucci. Speaking of star Italian producers, Doomwork‘s Remix of

Supernova’s “Energizer” is nothing short of cool funky tech.  These tunes

go so deep you might just slip into another dimension. Including 2x continuous mixes by New York based DJ and King Street very own, NoonStar.
